Charles Ray Adams AKA Chocolate Chip Born Septmember 26, 2011

Here is the story for all who are interested!  Monday the twenty sixth I started having contractions at about 9 am.  I was just blowing them off until I started to realize they were making me grumpy!  So I started timing them and they were coming every minute and half to two minutes.  Yikes!  I really wanted to get to the hospital in good time this time because I had group b strep and wanted to make sure I got all the antibiotics before he was born. So I made the call to Nick whom I am very glad took me seriously and hurried home!  All the while I was trying to clean up the messes my two boys were making everywhere .  We jumped in the jeep and all four of us went to the hospital.  I got all settled in amidst the giggles, whines, and spills that were happening before Grandma Tammy got there to save us.  They checked me and I was a four.  We got the IVs started promptly, then the waiting game began.  I just walked and walked, then got in the jetted tub, then walked a lot more!    I had to wait 2 hours before the doc would break my water because of the antibiotics.  Once she did pop my water, let me tell you what,  it went fast!  I went from 5 to 10 in an hour and a half.  Nick was so amazing this whole time!  If it wasn't for him there is no way I could have done it!  Every single contraction I would just cling to him while he talked me through it. Pretty soon I couldn't stand through them, so I called in the doc, who didn't even check me, she just said I would know when to push, so about one contraction later I was pushing that baby out.   It was perfect, there was no coaching from the doctor or nurse when to push or wait, just Nick's gentle encouragement.  I just pushed to get rid of the pain!  It took only about 10 minutes and my little Charley was there to meet me! It was 7:50 pm   The doctor listened to me and waited for the cord to quit pulsing, which was amazing because I got to hold him quit a bit longer than I ever did with the other boys.  Then they let me cut the cord and took him to be cleaned up!  It was such and amazing experience!  Charley weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Oh Boy......

What's all the chocolate about you ask??  Well dear Austin climbed into the cupboards and got out the Nestle Quick.  I found him in the living room under a blanket just chowing down on dry chocolate mix.

Adams Family Camping Trip!

The kids were "helping" grandma cook dinner.
Austin and Roman loved their new "fox and hound" chairs!
Can you tell what Roman's favorite thing to do was?
 Thanks for the picture Jaime!
Sad, I know, but this was Austin's first smore!

We had a lot of fun.  Nick and I went tubing behind the boat with both the boys!  Roman had so much fun tubing that he fell aslepe on the tube!

Long overdue post about Vegas

Well, I haven't posted so long because my other Blog decided to quit on me!  But here we are, so I have a lot of back pedaling to do!  Nick and I decided about 3 months ago to take a last minute babymoon, before the baby came and it would be ten times harder to get a babysitter.  We went to Vegas for 7 whole child free days of bliss!

We stayed at good ol Circus Circus, we were cheap, but it made it so we could do all the fun things that we wanted to!
This guy on the side walk was a really good statue!  Nick liked him, there are quite a few in Vegas, but not very many are good.  We saw a gold lady sitting on the sidewalk, smoking a gold cigarette that I guess was supposed to be part of the statue prop :)
Ka was absolutely amazing!  It is the first show we would recommend to anyone going to vegas!
